The Armed Services under the supreme command of Him Imperial Majesty Emperor is divided into three arms, the Imperial Army, the Imperial Navy and the Imperial Air Force.

According to the Peoples Constitution, adopted in 2000, Thrace does not believe in the concept of micronational war. The constitution does not prohibit the active maintenance of a defence force. As a result, the mission and objective of the Armed Services is to uphold the sovereignty, integrity, interests and strategic rights of the nation by ensuring efficiency and combat readiness at all times to face any external or internal threats to ensure the nation's development towards making a region of peace and prosperity.

The Imperial Army

The Army is the bulwark of Thrace's defence. It is organised into 2 divisions, the 1st Army Division (HQ in the capital Sliven), the 2nd Army Division (HQ in Nova Zagora).

The Army is moving towards modernising it's equipment in order to be a more effective conventional fighting force. Today, the modernisation process of the Army continues on its chartered course in preparation for future challenges.

The Imperial Navy

The Navy patrols the extensive waterways and sea approaches to Thrace. As a maritime nation, the security of the high seas is one of the highest defence priorities of Thrace. A study is now being made to further define the role of the Navy and source for new equipment and ships to make the Navy a truly modern force.

The Imperial Air Force

The Air Force is a fairly new branch of the Armed Services. The initial purchase of 18 Scimitar Fighters in early 2001 formed the pioneer 1st Fighter Wing Briesk comprising 3 Fighter Squadrons.

Chief Operational Directorate (J-3)

The Chief Operational Directorate is a body of the Chief of the General Staff of the Thracian army for management and leadership of the headquarters, troops and forces of the Thracian army on a daily basis.

The Chief Operational Directorate is a body of the Chief of the General Staff of the Thracian army for management and leadership of the headquarters, troops and forces of the Thracian army on a daily basis.

It has a leading role in:

Development and maintenance of the plans for operational usage of the armed forces of the Empire of Thrace;

Management of the troops and of the forces under extraordinary situations and crises;

Implementation of the activities related to combat readiness and mobilization;

Fulfilling of combat duty and combat service;

Guaranteeing the air and maritime sovereignty;

Territorial defense;

Operational preparation on the territory of the country;

Planning, analysis and control of the state of preparation of the Thracian army.

Chief Directorate Communication Information Systems (J-6)

The Chief Directorate Communication Information Systems is a body of the Chief of the General Staff of the Thracian army.

It controls the provision, organization and development of the communication and information systems for managing the Thracian army in peace time and in cases of military crises and crises of non-war character - the management of the country, as well as of the armed forces

Chancellery of the General Staff of the Thracian army

The Chancellery of the General Staff of the Thracian army assists the Chief of the General Staff and his deputies in their overall activities by creating an optimal organization for management of the administrative-registry activities and for its full correspondence with the legal and legislative requirements.
